Week two of rehearsals saw a fantastic graphic being created by Mel Geary for the opening credits of what is known in the world of the play as the HOTSTOVE PLANET – a fictional cable TV show that’s the excuse to include bits from the interviews we did for the production. We also cut a demo track of the second act hip-hop number so POCO could work his own motion graphics magic on it for us. John Osborne’s animation sequence for the Feedback Song was completed last week.
Meanwhile the acting and directing stuff is going very smoothly as we move into week three.
This week was also rife with birthdays: stage manager Anna Davidson, director Ian Leung and Tim Hamaguchi’s wife each grew one year older…
And if you want to hear that interview Melissa Thingelstad (Indie5 Artistic Director) and I had with CKUA’s Chris Allen earlier today, click play on the bar below to listen to the podcast version of it. It’ll give you more info about the whole Indie5 season and about our show (plus an interview with Sherry Kennedy about a Christmas benefit for a Foodbank in Calgary)!
