bio

Richard is an Alberta-based performer/creator who works in theatre and contemporary dance. Selected acting credits include: Games (Alberta Theatre Projects), Murderers Confess at Christmastime (Serial Collective/Roxy Performance Series), Victoria Martin: Math Team Queen (Northern Light Theatre), Under Cover, Are We There Yet? (Concrete Theatre), The Invisible Project (David Van Belle/High Performance Rodeo), 25 (Joel Crichton Emergency). As a dancer, he has performed in works for the Brian Webb Dance Company, Mile Zero Dance, The Good Women Dance Collective, Amber Borotsik, Dancers’ Studio West, Alberta Aboriginal Arts, and Toy Guns Dance Theatre, among others. His own works have been presented by the Expanse Festival, Mile Zero Dance, Dancers’ Studio West, The Good Women Dance Collective, Rapid Fire Theatre’s Improvoganza, and Sage Theatre’s Ignite Festival. He has also co-written two full-length plays: 8-Bit with Mark Ikeda for Winnipeg and Calgary Fringes, and The Antyssey with Joel Crichton, which Concrete Theatre will be premiering this February. Richard is a graduate of the B.F.A. Acting Program at the University of Alberta.
